Gosh, I haven't been on this thing in forever.  I guess I will make one of my "once a year" xanga entries.  It's past midnight, and I can't sleep.  2004 was not a good year for me, but so far 2005 has treated me well (It's the year of the rooster you know).

As for anything new, recently won basketball tournaments at Penn State and UVa, softball season started for my county league, and shaved my head which already grew back in 2 months.  I think my days of shaving my head and dying my hair are finally over ('bout time, right?).

Last week, I did something really stupid.  I left work early on Weds. at 11am to go to N.Y.C for one day by bus with some friends to watch the Knicks game.  Going to Madison Square Garden was something I always wanted to do in this life, and it was a good experience.  I got really close seats and it was a good time to watch the game, chill in K-town & going site-seeing, but my co-worked called that day to tell me that my boss came in looking for me.  The next day, he stopped by again and asked to meet with me.  I was really scared, thinking I'd probably get fired, and end up working at Lifetime (which I don't mind).  But when I sat in his room, he says... "Mike...you know, I've been really pleased with your production and how hard you've been working".  Haha!  But I am never doing that again.

Do you know who he is? (Hint: 1 of NBA's 50 greatest players...)

This past weekend was Mina's bday.  Mina, by the way, is my little sister, who is 12 years younger than me, so that makes both of us "roosters".  I took her out to eat dinner, gave her some gifts, bought her favorite ice cream cake, and helped her set up our basement for her little b-day party with her elementary school friends.  I don't know why but everyone gets shocked when they find out that I have a little sister.  Do I look like a typical only child?  Do I act like one?  Or do I not look like the type to take care of a young one? Well, its all good, and I do have a 12 year old sis.  And I've treated her like my own daughter since she was in diapers.  I ain't saying I'm ready to be a father (never), but I've become more responsible, and not only do I have to watch over her, but watch myself so I can be a good role model for her to look up to.  I've always wanted an older sister, but I found out a younger one isn't that bad.

These days I don't go out much anymore.  I try to keep it low, just relaxing with my friends, watch a movie occassionly, and of course, going to the gym.  I used to hate working out long time ago, but now I can honestly say I enjoy it.  It's like spending time with someone.  At first, you may not like him/her, but after a while he/she grows on you.  Ok, maybe that was a bad example.

I realize every day how much I've been blessed.  I think it's enough of me for tonight.  Good night.

It was good to have this week to relax, even though I couldn't enjoy the food b/c my front tooth came off again (long story).  Anyways, I played football for our church (KCPC/CCPC) and we won 1st place in the annual Turkey Bowl.  Our girls got 2nd...Earlier this month our bball team (The Bullets) won 1st in the Temple tournament, and also travelled to Smith College and got 2nd place.  It has been a good month indeed.  I got Wizards basketball season tickets this year.  Anybody interested in going to any games this year? Since I know I can't go to every game.

Well, I have finally started work last Monday after they told me I was supposed to start June 28th.  Oh well, I enjoyed the summer.  I work at the United States Patent Office (uspto.gov) by the Pentagon, and so far its boring because I'm in my 2nd week of my 3-week training process.  And the commute sucks since it takes me an hour.  The good thing is that I get a lot of government benefits so thats really cool.  I feel like I write a new entry once a year.  I wish I could be like the most of you and update as much as I can.  Anyways, on my first day of work, I got lost and was late to work.  I was suppposed to be at Crystal Park 2, but I didn't know there was Crystal Square, Crystal Suite, Crystal Place, Crystal Plaza and Crystal Mall all in the same city - Crystal City. Oh well.  Punctuality is really important to me.

At least I don't have to go back to school and take classes or study for tests anymore.  Everyone says that I would miss college when I graduate but so far I don't.  It's just me, I'm more of a Nova person.  Well, I wish those going back to school good luck this semester and study hard.  I really mean it, because I found out I would have gotten paid $8 more G's if my gpa was 0.12 higher.  Can you believe that?!?!

I was going to go to the Usher/Kayne concert this weekend in D.C. since I got 2 front stage tickets long time ago for $100 a piece, but this week I sold it on ebay for $385.00.  I didn't know the demand was so high.  And besides, before I sold them, my friend told me I was gay for asking him to go rather than asking a girl. =P

As for other things in my life, I play on a softball team with some hyungs for a Fairfax County league every week, and I'm getting my lisence suspended again next month (my 4th and last time).  Until my next entry, take cares yall.

Might go to Dave & Busters tomorrow night. Here's some pictures.

Picture I took for my passport so I can go to Korea maybe this winter or next summer - probably the most recent pic of me.

The one thing I will miss now that I'm working: going to Atlantic City(Borgata) during the week and win money.

This pic is of me and my good friends: Don, Dong Chul and Boo hyung.  We are true ballas.  I mean in basketball, not $$ ok?

Ok I'm suprised I'm writing another Xanga thing again.  Anyways, on March 16, Kayne West did a concert at our school as part of his college tour.  Virginia Tech was first of many schools to visit for Kayne.  Yeah, it was off the hook.  I sat really close, couple rows behind Kevin Jones, our star running back who's going to the NFL this year.  The concert was tight despite taking like 3 hours for him to finally come out and perform.  Sorry no pics but I got this College Dropout t-shirt at the concert though.

Last week was a bad week.  I got into an accident as I was leaving University Terrace apartments to go to class.  Man this dude didn't know I was behind him and tried to make an illegal u-turn in the middle of the road and hit me straight on!  He first curved right, so I thought he was making a right; I tried to pass him and he turned his car right into me.  The cop was an idiot; I think it was his first time doing an accident scene b/c he didn't even make me sign a police report, and let the other dude go and gave me a ticket for following too closely.  What the heck is that??  Oh yea the other dude said he was bustin' a left with a signal (lying) and the cop believed him.  I'm going to get suspended again 'cuz my driving record ain't so clean right now.  No justice in this world.  I got a rental car yesterday from Enterprise - gave me a Jetta.  Not bad.  But look at my car in the shop which will take 3 weeks.  My air bag hit me in the jaw so it was sore for a while, and the damages were $7,000.  http://filebox.vt.edu/users/mchu/IMG_0069.jpg

Oh yea this past weekend was the JMU basketball tournament.  Our team lost in the semi-finals and played really well despite the fact that like half our team didn't show up.  I also met a lot of people and had a good time spending the weekend there.  The UVa basketball tournament is on April 18th.  Can't wait; it'll be the 5th bball tournament I'm running in this year.

Ok, enough of this update.  'Til next time, I'll catch you later.

Oh yea, thanks to Tammy for showing me how to add music to this thing.
